I’m Lauren Grayson!

Starting with a crop sensor Nikon and a dream, I've walked the path from an aspiring photographer to a celebrated professional. My journey wasn't paved with high-end gear but with persistence, self-taught wisdom, and a passion for capturing life's unscripted moments.

I am actively in the trenches right along with you, still shooting family photography full time, and constantly refining my craft with real families, real moments, and real emotions. As an educator, I think it’s important that you continue to do the work alongside your students, and so I continue to photograph families full time. 

I don’t want you to just learn how to take better photos, I want to instill a sense of confidence and purpose in every single person who learns with me.

My workshops are more than lessons; they are transformations. I believe in making high-quality education accessible, drawing from my own experiences to create an online space where learning feels as intimate and impactful as any in-person workshop.

My goal is to be your guide, helping you find your unique voice and confidence, not through high-end equipment, but through mastering the art of photography.

This online version of my in person photography workshop, "Photos You Can Feel," embodies everything I've learned and everything I believe photography education should be: authentic, practical, and deeply transformative.

  • As long as the online program exists! I don't have any plans on removing the course, but if I do, you will receive plenty of notice and be given the option to download all of the materials to keep forever before I do.

  • Due to the digital nature of this product, refunds are not available. If you have any questions prior to purchasing or aren’t sure if this is for you, please reach out to lauren@laurengrayson.com with questions.

  • Yes! I already have a few behind the scenes videos from shoots that I have not yet added, and do hope to expand in spring of 2024 with a few more videos and resources as well.

  • Right now, My Midsummer outdoor presets for Lightroom are included as well as my standard Photoshop Actions that have been given out to all my in person workshop attendees. Currently my newer outdoor presets haven’t been added, and my studio Lightroom presets Babie’s Breath are also not included.

  • This entire course is primarily based on JUST family photography, yes. I do show all outdoor sessions, which are lifestyle, interactive, emotive and less posed. You can still apply some of the same ideas and principles to indoor, at home, or studio family photos as well, but I do not show that in the behind the scenes videos. There is one part of a family shoot where I shoot maternity, but that isn't the main focus of this course. I do hope to create a course JUST on Motherhood and Maternity though in the future, or add some of that to this! Stay tuned :)

  • No, this course is go at your own pace. All materials will be available to you immediately after you check out, and you can dive right in! At this time I don’t have any sort of Facebook group or anything with students, and there is no one on one support from me.
