Grace senior portraits in downtown Akron, Ohio

I honestly don’t know if we could have packed in anymore wardrobe changes or locations into this unique and super fun senior session. It was an extremely dreary day here in Northeast Ohio (as many are) and it was wet, on and off drizzle and rain, and so cloudy. I am SO glad we did not reschedule though. I really encourage you to embrace the weather, unless it’s a total downpour or unsafe. Because the overcast and cloudy skies honestly can create the most beautiful soft box for outdoor photos.

Grace wanted unique, fun, editorial meets fashion, meets something very not traditional for her senior photos. So, we drove around different parts of Akron, and I had spots all mapped out to coordinate with her outfits, and different vibes and feelings. The top of the parking garage, a cute coffee shop, colorful murals, bricks outside of a semi sketchy liquor store, neon hardware store signs through shop windows, brick lined alleys. We literally hit it all. Ivy covered walls, a blue bus in a parking lot (I know of some other bus’s and funky colors too if you need one for your session!) and crazy carved wall murals.

I scout out the locations, consult with wardrobe, and we spend a few hours driving around and creating some amazing photos. My goal with any senior session is to give that fashion model, editorial shoot vibe.
